Here’s a sketch of a new illus­tra­tion fea­tur­ing “Pirate Kit­ties.”

Think this one will go in the new shad­ow­box I just got from TJ Maxx. It’s the same shad­ow­box used for “Zom­bie Kitty,” a few pre­vi­ous posts from here.

It will be fun to play with a bad/good twin idea. Here’s the “bad” kitty…think the “good” kitty will be based off of Marie Antoinette. Any chance to throw a ruf­fle or bow in! :-)

        I had a hard time think­ing what to get you. Then I thought…What to get some­one who hearts Hello Kitty and Zom­bies? Why, Zom­bie Kitty in 3D!

        Mate­ri­als: Illus­tra­tion printed out on Card Stock and cut out. Glit­ter Foam Sheets with adhe­sive back­ing, a fine-tipped Glue Pen & Glit­ter. 8″x 18″ Shadow box has a mag­netic clo­sure, so it’s easy to update..and eas­ier to feed Zom­bie Kitty Bbbr­rraaai­innsss.

          It’s a cau­tion­ary tale of my poten­tial future. Fresh after gaz­ing into this Crys­tal Ball of a show, it moti­vates me to even file.

          So on one hand, if I don’t Image Col­lect some­thing feels miss­ing. A good com­pro­mise between full-blown Hoard­ing and get­ting my image fix on is…Stick­ers. They don’t take up much room and if I con­fine them to one binder, I’m in good shape.

          In ‘o9, I lost a really cute plan­ner I had BIG plans for early in the year. Never seen it since. I was so dis­ap­pointed that I couldn’t even buy another one, noth­ing mea­sured up to this plan­ner, it was sooooo cute. To make up for this loss, I got a really good plan­ner this year, in the Land made for a Cutist like me…Japan! Being there was like gorg­ing on an Eye Candy Feast Buf­fet. Totally FAB­u­lous!

          I’ve been blog­ging for about a week now…or has it been 2? It’s been a Cre­ative Diary of sorts, as I head back to the Draw­ing Board…to my first, grand, true North Star. All signs point NORTH!

              This project was just too much fun. At the end of the Design Con­test wrapped up today, Option A was in the final running!

              I’m not sure which one I should con­sider for my Port­fo­lio…eh, maybe Option A or D…they do look more like Kit­tens. hmmm, haveta think on it.

                Warm & Fuzzy Kitty! A Logo Concept…meow!


                Just joined & sub­mit­ted my first entry for http://99designs.com!

                It’s a web­site where design­ers from all over Cre­ation sub­mit a design from a customer’s brief with a lim­ited time­frame. It’s fun to see the takes of dif­fer­ent design­ers on…they are a very tal­ented pool, I must say!

                I entered late in the game, it was great fun to get my feet wet. :-) The Clients are from www.WFKitty.com, a”theme park like” vaca­tion expe­ri­ence for kitties…a place after my Mom’s own heart! I’m sure if they had a loca­tion in Ven­tura County, she’d send my bro, Prince Yel­low­tail over there…isn’t he cute???

                    Clos­ets are the best to hide away art sup­plies and books, alas…there’s no more room on my shelv­ing. I took a $3 cal­en­der and hung it on a wall so I can see (& help plan) the year. :-)
